OMG 2: Censor Board Sends Akshay Kumar And Yami Gautam’s Film For Review, Here’s Why

New Delhi: The screening of CBFC’s Examining Committee regarding Akshay Kumar starrer ‘OMG 2’ was done today and later, it was recommended to send the film to the Review Committee, which is seen as a common practice in the Censor Board.

An official of the Censor Board said on the condition of anonymity that the Censor Board does not have the right to ban any film, it can simply refuse to issue a certificate in view of all the objections, the makers have to change the film.

When a film is sent to the censor for certification, it is seen by at least 7 censor members including the Regional Officer, of whom 3 are men and 4 are women.

The committee watching the film for the first time is called the Examining Committee while the team of members watching the film for the second time is known as the Review Committee.

The trailer of ‘OMG 2’ was recently released by the makers of the film. In which Akshay Kumar is seen in the role of Lord Shankar and Pankaj Tripathi is seen in the role of an ultimate Shiva devotee. Seeing the teaser of the film, it is clear that this time too, like the previous part, an interesting story has been woven around the relationship between God and man. Seeing this, some people on social media were praising it, while some people have objected to Shiva’s anointing scenes. People say that this scene has hurt their feelings.

After sending OMG 2 to the review committee, the film’s producer company Viacom India has refused to say anything and has kept silence.

No clarification has been given on this issue from the other makers of the film as well.
