Former IPL Chairman Lalit Modi took everyone by surprise when he announced on social media that he is dating actress Sushmita Sen. The internet went crazy after the announcement and soon it was flooded with memes and old photos related to the couple. Amidst this an old Twitter interaction between the two also resurfaced and as expected soon went viral.
In the old tweet from 2013, Lalit Modi is asking Sushmita to reply to his message. Lalit Modi shared a tweet in which he wrote, “Okay I commit “@thesushmitasen: @LalitKModi you are too kind. However, promises are meant to be broken, commitments are honoured. Cheers love. Here is to 47.”
Sushmita replied, “Gotcha 47,” to which Lalit replied, “Reply my SMS.”
People started resharing this Twitter interaction with their comments. A user wrote, “Umeed kabhi nahi chodni chahiye (One should never lose hope).” Another one said, “9 saal baad reply kiya,.”

People assumed that Sushmita Sen and Lalit Modi have tied the knot but he soon clarified with another tweet that he is just dating the actress but marriage is on the cards.

Meanwhile, Sushmita’s brother Rajeev Sen has said that he was “pleasantly surprised” about the new development in his sister’s life, and he had no idea about it, earlier.
“I am pleasantly surprised. I will speak to my sister before I say anything. I wasn’t aware of it at all. My sister is yet to confirm this from her end, so I can’t comment, as of now,” Rajeev told The Times of India.
Sushmita Sen broke up with Rohman Shawl in December 2021 after three years of relationship.
