Army and NDRF are yet to get success in rescuing Jaipal Hooda, a farmer buried under the soil in a well in village Sayhadwa in Haryana’s Hisar district. It has been 55 hours since the farmer was buried. Hopes that he will come out alive from under the soil are now waning. There is also mourning among the family members. The whole incident happened in front of the eyes of Jaipal’s wife Savitri. Even on the third day, seeing her husband not getting a clue, she cries again and again.

Villagers present on the spot amid relief work.

On Monday night, due to the storm and rain, the operation of the Army and NDRF could not pick up pace. No work was done to remove the soil at night. Now the rescue operation, which started on Tuesday morning, has increased by noon. Rescue team personnel are busy removing the soil around the well with Poklen machines. There is a sandy rock here, from where there is a fear of falling into the soil well. The well is paved with bricks for about 25 feet, but after that there is an earthen wall. Now an attempt will be made to level the well by removing the soil.

The whole area is full of sand, due to which the soil is not frozen and gets slipped again and again.
