National Commission for Women (NCW) has given notice to Congress leader Udit Raj, who made controversial remarks on the President. In his statement, Udit Raj called President Draupadi Murmu a chamcha. Udit Raj has been in the headlines for his statements in the past as well.

President Draupadi Murmu had said during Gujarat visit that all Indians eat salt made in Gujarat. On this, Udit Raj tweeted on Wednesday. Wrote- No country should get a President like Draupadi Murmu ji. There is a limit to silliness too. It is said that 70% of people eat salt from Gujarat. If you live life by eating salt yourself, you will know.

On this statement of Udit Raj, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said- The words Udit Raj has used for Rashtrapatiji, it is worrying. However, this is not the first time the Congress has used such words for Rashtrapatiji. Earlier Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury ji also did it.

NCW issued notice to Udit Raj and sought clarification. After this, Udit Raj replied – If someone Dubey, Tiwari, Agarwal, Goyal, Rajput had asked a question like me to Draupadi Murmu ji, then the dignity of the post would have fallen. We will criticize Dalit-Adivasis and fight for them too. They become our representatives and then they become deaf and dumb.

At an event in Gandhinagar on October 4, President Murmu said that Gujarat produces 76 per cent of the salt in the country and it can be said that the salt produced by the state is consumed by all Indians.
