The Congress, PCN and the Sena, partners in the Mahavikas Aaghadi governmenthave rejected allegations that the notice issued to former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis was out of political vendetta, saying the police is only following due process. Home minister Dilip Walse Patil said so far six notices have been sent to Fadnavis seeking his statement into the leak of confidential information in the police postings scam. “Questionnaires were sent to him earlier too, but no response was received. Notice does not mean summons,” said Patil, adding that the notice to the former chief minister wasn’t sent as an accused.
