No relief to sacked health minister of Punjab: No bail from High Court; Minister’s lawyer said – neither recovery happened, nor confessed the crime

Punjab’s sacked health minister Dr. Vijay Singla could not get bail. His petition was heard in the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Tuesday. During this, Singla’s lawyer said that no money has been recovered from him. Nor has he confessed any crime.

Singla has been in jail for more than a month. However, the counsel for the Punjab government opposed it. He said that the status report has been filed in the High Court. On which the High Court said that he will give a decision after seeing the side of the government. The next hearing of the case will be on July 4.

Recording not clear, voice samples given
Singla’s lawyer in the High Court said that the voice in the recording which is being told as evidence is not clear. Singla has already given his voice sample. There is no evidence of recovery of money from them. However, the High Court said that the matter is controversial. He will give a decision only after seeing the status report of the Punjab government.

CM Bhagwant Mann had claimed to have accepted the mistake
CM Bhagwant Mann had announced the dismissal of Health Minister Singla. Mann had said that Singla was asking for 1% commission for every work of the health department. When he asked Singla about this, he accepted his voice asking for money.
