Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy CM Tejashwi met Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata regarding opposition unity. Nitish said that before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, all the opposition parties need to sit together and chalk out a strategy. On the other hand, Mamta said, ‘I have no objection in walking together. There is no question of my personal ego, I want BJP to become zero from hero.

Mamata also joined forces last month with Akhilesh Yadav, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik and Janata Dal (Secular) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy met. After meeting TMC chief, Nitish and Tejashwi reached Lucknow to meet SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. Akhilesh said, ‘BJP should withdraw, we are with Nitish Kumar in this campaign to save the country.’

On the other hand, today is the 11th day of the ongoing fighting between the army and the paramilitary in Sudan. Operation Kaveri has been started to evacuate about 4 thousand Indians trapped here. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar told that about 500 citizens have been brought to Port Sudan. Some more citizens are reaching there. Our ships and military aircraft are ready to bring them home.

Nitish Kumar held a press conference with Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow. On the question of becoming the Prime Minister, Nitish said, ‘When everyone will unite. Then we will sit and decide who should be the leader. One thing I want to make clear that I do not want to become the Prime Minister. Earlier, Nitish had also met Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi on 12 April.

2. Wrestlers move SC against Brij Bhushan, Sports Ministry bans Federation elections
Eight wrestlers, including Vinesh Phogat, have appealed in the Supreme Court, demanding registration of an FIR against Brij Bhushan Singh, president of the Wrestling Federation of India. 3. 427 deaths in Sudan so far, France rescued people from 28 countries, including 5 Indians

According to the WHO, so far 427 people have died in the civil war in Sudan, while 3,551 people have been injured. Plot of sand sold in Dubai for a record 278 crores, is present on the artificial island named ‘Jumeirah Bay’

A 24,500 square feet plot on Jumeirah Bay Island in Dubai has been sold for a record 125 million dirhams i.e. around Rs 278 crores. According to Bloomberg, the person who bought this plot is not a native of Dubai. He wants to build a house for family vacation in this property.

Brokerage firm Knight Frank told that till now only luxurious villas or luxury penthouses were sold at expensive prices. This is the first time that a vacant plot has been sold for a record breaking price. Jumeirah Bay is a man made artificial island, which is spread over 6 million square feet.
