NIA and ATS conducted raids in Bihar, UP and Gujarat in the Popular Front of India (PFI) case. Raids have been conducted in Patna and Darbhanga of Bihar. The team has taken action simultaneously at both the places at 5 am on Sunday. This raid lasted for about 8 hours. The team has also raided Bareilly in UP. The location of Gujarat is yet to be known.

In Darbhanga, the team took action in Gajiyana village and Chhotki Bazar of Bahera police station area. The team took 5 youths from both the villages with them for questioning. After 4 hours of questioning, the team released everyone.

One of these youths used to live and study in a madrasa in Patna. The young man is adept at translating the Arabic language. NIA had received input that he has connection with ISI. After this this raid was killed. The team had also taken away 2 mobiles and bank details from here.

In Patna, the team carried out this operation in the book shop of Mohammad Riazuddin Qasmi near Idar-e-Sharia of Phulwari Sharif.

Mohammad MD Alam, who was present during the team’s raid, told that there is a book shop here. This shop belongs to Mr. Mohammad Qasmi. Urdu, Arabic books are available here. The team was looking for something in the books, but they didn’t find anything. We know Kasmi sahab very well, he is not such a person.

According to sources, this action is being taken on the basis of the clue found in the interrogation of Mumtaz Ansari, who was arrested from Tamil Nadu.

Was arrested from Tiruvallur

Mumtaz Ansari is a resident of Mahishi police station area of ​​West Champaran district of Bihar. He was wanted in FIR No. 827/22 in Phulwari Sharif police station of Patna in PFI case. This case was taken over by NIA. Even after this Mumtaz was not caught.

Bihar ATS got his special input. After which a team went to Tamil Nadu. The team stayed at Bariyapallam in Tiruvallur district for about 10 days. There Mumtaz was living in hiding and changing his identity.

He was working in a factory there. It was from here on the morning of 19th June that Bihar ATS team arrested him. After this was handed over to NIA. Then it was questioned and now raids are going on on its mark.
