NIA raid on 40 locations of PFI: 4 suspects arrested from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, cash and weapons worth lakhs found

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday conducted raids at 40 locations in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh against the Popular Front of India (PFI). During this, NIA has detained 4 people. In the raid, the team also found some suspicious items including digital equipment, documents, two daggers and cash worth over Rs 8.31 lakh. An official said that information was received that PFI camps are running in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Where camps are being run for planning terrorist incidents and training for rioting on the basis of religion. After this raids were conducted at 38 places in Telangana and 2 in Andhra Pradesh today. In July, the Telangana Police received information that a group in Nizamabad was running a karate class with the main objective of imparting terrorist training. The case was registered on 4 July, after which the police started raids, arresting Abdul Qader, Sheikh Sahadullah, Mohd Imran and Mohd Abdul Mobin. According to the police, the arrested accused Sheikh Sahadullah is Shadullah, the district convener of PFI. Thereafter, the NIA re-registered the case on August 26 to take the investigation forward. In this case, today 40 locations in Telangana and Andhra were raided. Maximum 23 raids were conducted in Nizamabad, 7 in Jagtyal, 4 in Hyderabad, 2 in Nirmal, one each in Adilabad and Karimnagar.
