Animal wins Best Film at News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2024.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, has won the Best Film at the prestigious awards.
Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal won the Best Film award at the News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2024. The film was one of the biggest box office hits of 2024. The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and it starred Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna. Sandeep Reddy Vanga and the film’s producer, Bhushan Kumar were present at the show and accepted the award.
Released on December 1, Animal revolves around a man and his relationship with his father. The film shows Ranvijay (played by Ranbir) as an anti-hero who would go to any lengths to protect his father, including gunning down 200 people with a machine gun. The film set the box office. Animal collected over Rs 900 cr.
At the awards show, Sandeep debuted his new bald look. For the unversed, Sandeep was spotted at the Tirumala temple in Andhra Pradesh recently, where he offered prayers. Fans who met him there noticed he had shaved his head as part of a religious offering. Sandeep wore a blue kurta with a pink scarf and happily posed for photographs with fans.
After the massive success of Animal, fans are eagerly waiting for the film’s sequel, Animal Park. Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal 2 might bring bigger surprises for audiences. Recently, it was rumoured that the director is likely to get Vicky Kaushal on board as the new villain for the sequel of his blockbuster movie.
Meanwhile, after a successful edition in 2023, the News18 Showsha Reel Awards soared to greater heights this year. The awards honoured and applauded the best of content across cinema and OTT.
