The News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2024 were recently held and some of the best music performances were honoured at the show. The ceremony took place on March 9 and three big music awards were presented. These included Best Singer (Male), Best Singer (Female) and Best Music Album. The Best Singer Male award went to Manan Bhardwaj. He was presented with the award for his soulful song Aaj Ke Baad, in Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer Satyaprem Ki Katha.
The Best Singer (Female) went rightfully so to Shilpa Rao. The singer delivered two of the biggest hits in 2023. These include Besharam Rang, which she sang for Deepika Padukone in Shah Rukh Khan-headlined Pathaan, and Chaleya. While this was again for a Shah Rukh Khan led film, Jawan, Shilpa lent her voice to Nayanthara.
Both the singers have received immense love from the audience, fans as well as from the critics. On winning the awards, the singers expressed gratitude and also thanked their films, and their teams for making their work a success.
Meanwhile, the Best Music Album award was given to Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. The film featured songs such as Hua Main, Satranga, Papa Meri Jaan and Arjan Vailly, all of which were hits among music lovers. The songs were sung and composed by multiple artists. These include Pritam, JAM8, Vishal Mishra, Jaani, Manan Bhardwaj, Shreyas Puranik, Ashim Kemson, Harshvardhan Rameshwar, Bhupinder Babbal,

The News18 Showsha Reel Awards was a star-studded affair. Several celebs were present for the extravagant event. The event was hosted by Aparshakti Khurrana and Neha Dhupia and took place at Taj Lands End, Bandra, Mumbai. The awards show was attended by Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji, Vijay Varma and more.
