Chief Justice Uday Umesh Lalit on Friday said that in the last four days, the Supreme Court has disposed of around 1,300 different cases. He further said that his secretary gave him data for the last four days which shows that 1,293 different types of cases, out of which 440 transfer cases have been disposed of. At the same time, in the last two days, 106 regular cases have been disposed of.

The Bar Council had organized the honor ceremony
He said that we are giving more emphasis on disposal of regular cases. The CJI assured that the Supreme Court would continue to try such a settlement. He said that the court is listing more cases, which is much higher in number, than the time before he took office. The Bar Council of India had organized a felicitation ceremony in honor of Chief Justice of India UU Lalit on Friday evening.

Was sworn in as the 49th Chief Justice
The country’s new Chief Justice U U Lalit is in action as soon as he takes over. Actually, Justice Lalit has a tenure of just 74 days as CJI. In such a situation, he is hearing more and more cases in less time. In the ceremony, Justice Lalit said that I have a lot of time constraints. Time is short for hearing on these matters.

Justice Uday Umesh Lalit was sworn in as the 49th Chief Justice of India on Saturday. He replaces Justice NV Ramana, who retired on August 26. Justice Ramana recommended Justice Lalit as his successor. The President then appointed Justice Lalit as the new CJI. Justice Lalit has assumed office for a period of 74 days. His term will end on November 8.
