NEET UG 2023 Counselling To Begin Soon, Check Important Details Here

NEET 2023 Counselling is expected to begin soon. The result of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023 was announced earlier this month. Candidates who have qualified in the exam have to apply for counselling in order to secure a medical seat. Medical seats in the country are distributed between the All India and State quotas in a 15-85 ratio. The states are responsible for conducting NEET counselling independently, while the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) handles the NEET UG counselling process for All India quota MBBS and BDS seats.

The MCC NEET counselling for 2023 will include 15 percent of All India Quota (AIQ) seats in government colleges and 100 percent seats for deemed or central universities, AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC/AFMS, and BSc Nursing programs based on NEET scores.

The NEET AIQ 2023 counselling process will consist of four rounds: round 1, round 2, mop-up, and stray vacancy. The number of rounds may vary depending on the availability of seats. Seat allotment will be determined by factors such as the NEET 2023 rank, candidate preferences, seat availability, and reservation criteria.

This year, out of a total of 20.87 lakh applicants, around 20.38 lakh candidates appeared for NEET. Among them, 11,45,976 candidates have qualified for the NEET UG examination.
