NCPCR Summons BYJU’S CEO for Unfairly Selling Courses to Students

At the same time, the child rights body has taken a strict stand in the matter. The NCPCR has ordered Raveendran to appear before it on December 23 over the alleged malpractice of hard-selling BYJU’S courses to students.

According to news agency ANI, a news report has come to the commission, which states that the sales team of BYJU’S is luring, cheating, and pressurizing the parents of the children to buy their curriculum.

The NCPCR said that the commission is very strict on this matter. The commission has called CEO Byju Raveendran on Dec 23 to produce details of all courses being run by BYJU’S for children, structure of these courses, fee structure, number of students currently studying in the course, BYJU’S fee refund policy.

The commission said that if BYJU’S CEO Raveendran does not follow the order without any excuse, other sections can also be imposed on him.
