NAVI MUMBAI: The city reported three more cases of Omicron variant of Covid-19 on Wednesday.
The number of Omicron-affected people in the city has gone up to four now.
The three fresh Omicron patients reside at Belapur, Ghansoli and Nerul nodes and they had returned from the United Kingdom, Nigeria and South Africa respectively a fortnight ago.
Meanwhile, their residential buildings have been sealed.
“We have detected three more Omicron cases in the civic area on Wednesday, taking the tally to four,” said an NMMC officer.
One of them is a 17-year-old boy, from Belapur node, who had returned from the United Kingdom on December 14. His genome sequencing report came today. He was admitted to Cidco Exhibition Centre covid care unit.
“He is asymptomatic and vitally stable,” said a medical officer.
