Name of ex-panchayat member of Bihar in list of residence in Malda, held by central party

Trinamool Congress led state administration is making new scams in the list of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. However, the number of people caught on Tuesday surpassed all previous records. This time, the name of the resident of Bihar was found in the list of housing scheme of West Bengal. Not only a resident of Bihar, he is also a former panchayat member of Serajya. The central representatives found this novel feat of the Trinamool administration while investigating in Malda’s Ratua on Tuesday. To save face, the District Magistrate ordered the BDO to investigate the incident.

On Tuesday, 2 members of the central delegation went to Gobindpur village of Mahanandtola village panchayat of Block 1 Ratua. When they went there, they saw that Shyam Yadav, former member of Durgapur village panchayat of Lagoa Bihar’s Katihar district, was in the list of housing scheme. After that, the central delegation crossed the border of West Bengal and entered Bihar’s Baharshal. But Shyam Yadav was not found when he went home. His mother Niva Devi said, ‘I know that my son’s name has appeared in the list of Bengal’s housing scheme. But I haven’t received the money yet.’ He said that there is a dispute between Bengal and Bihar over the possession of their house.

The Malda district administration has started showing efforts to save face when the central delegation caught the scam. The District Collector of Malda has ordered the BDO of Ratua 1 block to investigate the incident. But the controversy does not stop there. BJP spokesperson Shamik Bhattacharya said, ‘It is not a government. Transfer of possession. The situation is the same from the mountains to the sea. He did corruption as he could. And the common people have been deprived.’ Palta Trinamool spokesperson Shantanu Sen said, ‘Our administration has omitted 17 lakh names. That process is still going on. But the central government has not yet paid the first installment of the housing scheme.
