Actress Nagma is going through a lot of exasperation for not being able to go to the Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Parliament. He expressed his pain by tweeting. Nagma said, ‘Even 18 years of penance remained short.’

On June 10, elections are to be held for 57 Rajya Sabha seats in 15 states. Congress has decided to send a total of 10 candidates to Rajya Sabha from Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka. Of these, there is only one woman candidate, Ranjeet Ranjan.

Apart from Imran Pratapgarhi, the Congress has fielded senior party leaders Rajiv Shukla, Ajay Maken, Ranjit Ranjan, Jairam Ramesh, Vivek Tankha, Randeep Singh Surjewala, Mukul Wasnik, Pramod Tiwari and P Chidambaram in the Rajya Sabha elections.
