Chief Secretary Harikrishna Dwivedi directed to enforce night curfew to prevent corona infection in the state. He gave the directive at a high-level administrative meeting on Thursday. Nabanna has issued a set of new guidelines for the police.

In today’s meeting, the Chief Secretary informed the Commissioners of Police and District Superintendents of Police in Kolkata and all the Commissionerates that night curfew cannot be delayed. Naka checking should be done all night in all important places. If someone goes out on the street, he should be sent back home.

On the same day, the Chief Secretary said, the infection between the policemen and the officers is increasing. But the police have to handle the responsibility.

The administration has taken some other important decisions in today’s meeting. Nabanna has asked for a round-the-clock police presence in front of micro containment zones in Kolkata and districts. Entry and exit to the containment zone will be completely controlled. Nabanna also instructed to sanitize various multi-storey lifts.

Even the government has been asked to stop the meeting from appearing in person to prevent the infection. Nabanna has instructed to hold all the meetings virtually. In all government offices where work from home is possible, the staff has been instructed to stop attending the office. Administrative officials have instructed to close government offices if it is not very useful.

Let me tell you, the newly appointed mayor of Kolkata, Binit Goel, was infected with corona on Thursday.
