A wrestler who made India proud by winning medals twice in Commonwealth, Asiad, World Championships and Olympics. After a while he started worrying about his honour. He began to feel that his respect among junior wrestlers had diminished. This angered him so much that he thrashed one of his own junior wrestlers to death. The 14th story of Murder Mystery is of wrestler Sushil Kumar. Let us tell you about this incident.

We are telling this story on the basis of the charge sheet which has been submitted by Delhi Police in Rohini Court.

Dispute started from flat of 90 lakhs
The year 2019, Sushil Kumar’s life was going well. Calls were coming for him from every part of the country. There was no shortage of money. Meanwhile, on 10 December 2019, Sushil bought a flat worth Rs 90 lakh in the name of his wife Savi Solanki in Model Town, Delhi. Sushil Kumar after buying a flat numbered B 10/6 gave it on rent of 40 thousand rupees per month.

Sushil Kumar won gold medals for India in Commonwealth, Asiad, Commonwealth Games. Won silver once and bronze medal once in Olympics.

Wrestlers Sagar Dhankhar, Sonu, Bhaktu and Amit were among the renters in Sushil’s flat. Bhaktu and Amit also got a room at Chhatrasal Stadium. All were from Haryana and wanted to illuminate the name through wrestling. Sagar Dhankhar, 23, was a rising wrestler. Father Ashok Dhankhar was a constable in Delhi Police. Wanted the son to illuminate his name in wrestling, so he got him admitted in Chhatrasal Stadium. This stadium was run by Sushil Kumar and his father-in-law Satpal.

Sagar said, ask Sushil to come himself and get the flat vacated
Everything was fine till January 2020. Sagar would come to Chhatrapal Stadium to take training and then go to the flat. A servant named Vikas Nepali took care of everyone’s diet. After a few days, Sonu Mahal left the flat. This Sonu Mahal was the cousin of Haryana’s big gangster Kala Jathedi. In February 2020, Sagar had a dispute with his neighbors over parking. Neighbors called Sushil and told everything. Sushil asked Sagar to vacate the flat immediately, but Sagar did not do so.

Sushil sent his accomplices Ajay and Raghuveer to get the flat vacated. Both of them reached and said to Sagar, “Evacuate this flat by paying the old rent.” Sagar refused and said, he will not evacuate by your request, ask your wrestler to come and get him evacuated. Ajay and Raghubir reached there and told the whole thing to Sushil, then he was filled with anger.

When there was a dispute to vacate the flat, Sagar said, will not vacate the flat, go send your wrestler. This challenge was for Sushil Kumar.

When Sagar left Chhatrasal Stadium with the flat, many boys went with him.
When the dispute over the flat escalated, Sagar vacated it in February and took the flat on the fourth floor in the M2/1 building of Model Town. There is another reason for the controversy. Actually Sagar’s coach was Virendra. Virendra was thrown out of Chhatrasal Stadium by Sushil Kumar in 2019. After this Virendra opened the arena in Nangloi. Now when there was a dispute regarding the flat, Sagar also went to Virendra’s arena. Along with Sagar, 30-35 wrestlers also went to that arena.

There is another cause of controversy which is not discussed. Once it was the birthday of Sushil’s friend Ajay Bajarwala. He and Sushil were on the same flat. There he drank wine. Sonu Mahal had put a photo of his girlfriend in the room. Ajay started taking selfie with that photo while drunk. Sonu Mahal got into a dispute with this matter. He abused Ajay fiercely. When Sushil tried to intervene, he was also abused. Now let’s move on to the story again.

Sushil felt that he had no respect
Sushil began to consider the lack of new wrestlers in the Chhatrasal Stadium and the growing influence of Sagar as an insult to himself. On May 4, inside the Chhatrasal Stadium, there were many wrestlers including Sagar, Sonu, Amit, Bhaktu, Vikas. When there was a dispute here, Sagar grabbed Sushil’s collar. Immediately the matter was calmed down, but the fire of revenge that started inside Sushil reached a terrible end.

Sushil called miscreants from Haryana to take revenge
Sushil asked the miscreants of Neeraj Bawana Group to come to Delhi immediately from Haryana on 4th May itself. About 20 miscreants came to Delhi in three hours. Everyone drank alcohol and then reached Shalimar Bagh. Sagar’s friends Ravindra and Vikas were having ice cream outside their house. The miscreant picked him up and made him sit in the car.

After this all reached Model Town. Two men reached Sagar’s room and said, “Sushil is calling, sitting in the car below.” When Sagar came down I saw Sushil was sitting in the car with a pistol in his hand. Before Sagar could understand anything, Sonu, Sagar, Amit were also picked up with him.

Sushil Kumar himself started beating Sagar by taking hockey. He told his friend Prince, you make a video.

Sushil was hitting with a hockey stick and was making videos from mobile
The convoy of seven vehicles reached Chhatrasal Stadium at 1 pm. Here all the five wrestlers including Sagar were removed from the car. The guard was sent home after closing the gate. After this everyone started beating badly. Sushil had a hockey stick in his hand. When he was beating her, then he was asking his fellow Prince to make a video. Sonu Mahal’s both hands were broken.

Meanwhile the police arrived. All the miscreants hid in the basement. When the police reached there, they ran away with the devotee. Here the police took Sagar and Sonu Mahal to the hospital. Bhaktu’s wife called the police that her husband had been kidnapped. Then Sushil got a video call from Bhaktu to his wife. Said, “Speak that there is no kidnapping. Bhaktu spoke but the wife could not believe it. She immediately called the police again. Sushil then left her.”

After Sagar’s death, Sushil hid in an ashram in Uttarakhand
On the morning of May 5, news came that Sagar Dhankhar had died. This news caught the attention of the whole country. Sushil ran away. On 6 May, he reached Rishikesh via Haridwar, where he stayed at an ashram. Came back to Delhi on 7 May and from there reached Bahadurgarh in Haryana. The police were conducting raids during this period. First placed a reward of 25 thousand on him and then increased it to 1 lakh.

On May 10, Sushil reached Chandigarh from Bahadurgarh and then from Chandigarh to Bathinda. The police got the news here, but by the time the police reached, Sushil had fled. From Bathinda to Chandigarh and then from there to Gurugram. After staying for two days, he reached West Delhi. During this, a petition was filed in the court for anticipatory bail but the court rejected it.

Sushil said as soon as he was arrested – feed him, I am hungry for 3 days
Sushil’s mobile was on surveillance. He would talk on the phone and then immediately switch off but on 22 May he forgot to switch off in a hurry. Police got information that Sushil is in Bahadurgarh. Mobile can be switched off at any time. The police left immediately. In the next 25 minutes, Sushil was surrounded by a special cell near Mundka metro station. In this way the game of hide-and-seek that was going on for 17 days came to an end.

As soon as the police came to know that Sushil had left Bahadurgarh, he immediately started checking on those roads. Sushil was arrested near Mundka metro station.

Sushil’s arrest had become a question on the nose of Delhi Police. Therefore, a special team of 60 officers was set up. Shivakumar and Karmaveer were leading this operation. 600 numbers related to Sushil were put on surveillance. There were 66 such people on whose phone Sushil’s call could come at any time. After arresting the police produced Sushil in Rohini court.

Police imposed 22 sections on Sushil
After presenting him in Rohini court, police sought 6-day remand for Sushil. Court approved. He was presented once again on 29 May. The police asked for 7 days remand citing further interrogation. On this Sushil’s lawyer Pradeep Rana said, tell the police what he did for 6 days, which is yet to be taken on more remand. Ignoring Rana’s latter, the court accepted the remand of 4 days.

Before 90 days, the police filed a 170 page charge sheet. Case was registered in total 22 sections. 20 accused were made. Till the filing of the chargesheet, 15 were arrested. Of these, there were two against whom a supplementary charge sheet was filed. Sushil was earlier in Mandola Jail, now he is lodged in Tihar Jail. The speed with which the hearing is going on in the court is expected that soon the decision will come in this matter.

After his death, Savitri Devi, mother of Dhankhar, showed his winning medals and said, Sushil has killed my child, I want him to be hanged.
