Mukul Rohatgi’s Nupur Sharma case observations: Don’t think judges crossed any lines

In an exclusive interview with India Today, former Attorney General and senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi said that judges didn’t cross any rekha in the Nupur Sharma case and added that oral observations do not form a part of the written order.

When asked whether judges crossed Lakshman Rekha when they criticized Nupur Sharma, Mukul Rohatgi said, “I don’t think they have (judges) crossed any ‘rekha’, much less a ‘Lakshman Rekha. I am amazed at how people trained in the law are commenting on oral observations which do not form a part of the written order.”
