The high altitude areas of Jammu and Kashmir are experiencing continuous snowfall. Due to this, the Mughal road connecting Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu province with South Kashmir has been closed on Sunday. According to officials, most areas here on Saturday received more than normal snowfall overnight.

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir till November 10 under the influence of a Western Disturbance (wind tries to normalize its pressure in the region). Also, the weather is likely to be bad.

On Sunday morning, Srinagar 26.1 mm, Qazigund 16.0 mm, Pahalgam 14.3 mm, Kupwara 16.2 mm, Kuknag 11.4 mm, Gulmarg 16.8 mm, Jammu 16.2 mm, Banihal 24.8 mm, Batote 17.9 mm, Katra 17.0 mm , Bhaderwah received 13.2 mm and Kathua 10.2 mm.

Rain with strong winds on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway
The traffic department said that Jammu city received heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds on the night of Saturday and Sunday, but no damage was reported.
