In Andhra Pradesh’s Vizianagaram, a mother administered growth hormone drugs to her minor daughter so that she could act in films. On the complaint of the girl, the Andhra Pradesh Child Rights Protection Commission rescued her from the girl’s house on Friday. On Thursday, the minor girl called the child line number 1098 with the help of a person.
The 16-year-old girl told that her mother was giving growth hormone pills for the last 4 years. The minor was unable to bear the pain caused by its side-effects. Not only this, she used to beat him for refusing to take medicine.
The girl used to faint after taking pills
According to reports, Child Line has handed over the girl’s complaint to the police. The girl said, “My mother was giving me an overdose of some pills to change my body. Whenever I used to take pills, I fainted and my body swelled up the next day. It caused me a lot of pain. Due to which I passed my 11th His studies are also getting disturbed.”
The girl also told that the mother also tortured some people who came to her house to have relations with them, who were claiming to be film makers.
When I refused to take medicine, the minor said in her complaint, “She wanted to prepare me for commitments with film directors and producers after completing my intermediate. Whenever I refused to take medicine, she would beat me up.” And used to threaten to give electric shocks.
On receiving the complaint, Kesali Appa Rao, chairman of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, along with a police team went to the girl’s house and took her with him.
Girl mother got divorced from first husband, second husband died
The girl has said in her complaint that her father Rajesh Kumar had divorced her mother. She later married another man, who died a few years later. Appa Rao told that the girl first dialed 112, but she did not get any help. Later on Thursday, she dialed the Childline helpline number 1098 with the help of another person.
The commission handed over the minor’s complaint to the police for registering a case against the woman. Police officials have sent the medicines given to the girl for testing.
