In the data released by IMD, maximum rainfall has been received in Kurukshetra at 24 mm followed by Sonipat at 14.5 mm. Some areas of Gurugram have recorded 14 mm of rain. The weather turned bad in GT Road belt districts of Sonepat, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Yamunanagar and Panchkula since 3 o’clock in the night. It started raining around 3:30. In Sonipat, it kept raining intermittently till 7 o’clock.

In Kurukshetra and Yamunanagar also, there is an atmosphere of thunderstorm with a speed of 30 to 40 km. There is a possibility of rain in Safidon of Jind, Kharkhoda of Sonipat, Assandh of Karnal and Hodal of Palwal.

Pre monsoon rains from June 25
Dr. Madan Khichad, Chairman, Department of Agricultural Meteorology, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar said that the weather is likely to remain variable in the state till June 27. During this, dry wind will blow in most areas of the state till June 24 and the heat will also bother. But from June 24, due to the movement of monsoon winds from the Bay of Bengal towards the north-west region, the amount of moisture in the state’s atmosphere will increase and after that a change in weather is possible.

There will be heavy rain in some places
Light to moderate pre-monsoon rains at isolated places with gusty winds very likely over most areas of the state during night of June 25 to June 27. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at some places. This will again bring down the temperature in the state and bring some respite from the heat.
