The Union Health Ministry on Friday said that over 1.50 crore remaining and untapped COVID-19 vaccine doses are still available with the states and UTs and over 47 lakh doses are in the pipeline and will be received within the next three days.

So far, more than 30.54 crore vaccine doses have been provided by the Center to the States and Union Territories through the Government of India (free channel) and through the direct state procurement category.

Of this, the total consumption including wastage is 29,04,04,264 doses, the ministry said.

“More than 1.50 crore (1,50,28,186) remaining and untapped COVID-19 vaccine doses are still available with the States and UTs to be administered.

“In addition, more than 47,00,000 vaccine doses are in the pipeline and they will be received within the next 3 days,” the ministry said.

The Center is committed to accelerate the pace of COVID-19 vaccination across the country and expand its scope.

The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination began on 21 June.
