After the jhoola accident at the fair held at Dussehra Ground in Mohali, Punjab, the London Bridge Fair organized here has been packed. Only 4 patients arrived in Civil Hospital

Dr Parminder Jeet Singh of Mohali Civil Hospital said that a total of 4 patients had come to his place. There was a husband and wife. The patients who came here, after first aid, went to their native place for treatment. Some were discharged there. There were injuries to the spine, cervical injury and nose etc. All the patients are out of danger. Mohali Mayor Amarjit Singh Jiti Sidhu has expressed regret over the incident. He said that a case should be registered against the fair managers for being negligent. The patients did not face much trouble due to the immediate access to health services in the district.

Woman’s head and daughter’s lips torn: A person named Uma Shankar Giri told that due to a sudden cable break in front of him, the swing came down from a great height. Women, men and children were sitting in it. 15 to 20 people were riding in this swing. The accident happened at 9.15 pm. A woman’s head exploded. He had a daughter with him, whose lip was cracked. The fair manager was not taking responsibility for the accident and after the public protested, the fair manager’s bouncers beat up the people.

There was blood coming out of the mouth of the children: A woman named Jaspreet Kaur told that this accident happened in front of her. He himself rescued small children. There was blood coming from the lips, nose and mouth of the children. The children were in bad shape. Two children had fainted. Another person told that he had come for a walk. There was no PCR or even an ambulance on the spot. After about 20 minutes the bouncers of the fair manager came in an intoxicated state and started arguing with the people. The fair was organized without medical facilities and there was no arrangement for the police.

DSP said – will investigate thoroughly
Mohali’s DSP City-2 Harsimran Singh Bal said that the accident happened due to breaking of the swing wire. The PCR parties had taken the patients to the hospital. On the question of non-availability of medical facilities during the fair, he said that investigation is being done in this regard. Strict action will be taken against the culprits.
