After Amul, now Mother Dairy has also increased milk prices by Rs 2 per liter on Saturday. Mother Dairy has increased the prices of full cream milk and cow milk by Rs 2 per liter in Delhi-NCR. Mother Dairy spokesperson gave this information.

Mother Dairy’s new milk prices will be applicable from tomorrow
“We have increased the prices of only full cream and cow’s milk variants by Rs 2 per liter,” said a spokesperson. The new prices on both these variants will be applicable from October 16 (Sunday).’

Amul Full Cream Milk will be available for Rs 63 instead of 61
Now instead of Rs 61, Rs 63 will have to be paid for a packet of one liter full cream Amul milk (Amul Gold). At the same time, the price of half a liter of milk has increased from Rs 30 to Rs 31. Apart from this, the price of buffalo milk has also been increased by Rs 2 per liter. The new prices of Amul’s milk have come into effect from today.

Whereas Mother Dairy’s full cream milk was priced at Rs 61 per liter at present. The cost of cow’s milk was Rs 53. Now people will have to pay Rs 2 more per liter. Amul and Mother Dairy had earlier raised Rs 2 per liter in August and March also.

Prices not increased in Gujarat
There has been no increase in the price of Amul milk in Gujarat. There milk will continue to be available at the old rate. The reason for this is being told the Gujarat Assembly elections. It could happen by the end of this year.

Rate hiked due to costlier animal feed
The company has not yet given the reason for increasing the rate. However, earlier in August, when Amul raised the prices, it was attributed to the increase in operation cost and milk production cost. The company said that the price of animal feed has increased by about 20% compared to last year. In view of the increase in input cost and animal feed, the milk unions affiliated to Amul Federation have also increased the milk purchase price of farmers by 8-9% as compared to last year.

80 paise out of one rupee to milk producers
Under its policy, Amul pays 80 paise to milk producers out of every Re 1 it receives from customers. Price improvement will help milk producers and encourage them to produce more milk. With this increase, milk prices have increased by Rs 6 per liter since March.
