Amidst the prevailing water crisis in India’s ‘Silicon Valley’, a bizarre incident has surfaced from Bengaluru, wherein a 44-year-old homemaker has filed a police complaint against her newlywed neighbour couple for having sex with their bedroom window open.

The skirmish between neighbours in Avalahalli, Girinagar in south Bengaluru took an interesting turn as the wife of the newlyweds’ landlord lodged a counter-complaint, alleging that the homemaker’s family was deliberately fighting with her tenants over trivial matters intending to get them to vacate the house, a TOI report said.

After the case went public, both parties went to the Girinagar police station and said they wanted to let the matter rest. Police, however, told them that since FIRs were registered over both the complaints, the complainants would need to approach the court.

‘It Was Disgusting…’

On March 8, the homemaker registered an FIR, alleging that she had opened her main door around 10:30 pm the previous night and found the tenant couple engaging in sex.

“It was disgusting. I told them to shut the window and do whatever they wanted. The couple abused me and issued dire threats to rape and kill me,” she was quoted by TOI as saying.

In response to the FIR, the house owner’s wife, two days later on March 10, filed a counter-complaint, accusing the homemaker and her family of deliberately fighting with their tenants.

All the parties involved in the case, the newlywed couple, their landlord, the homemaker and her husband have been booked under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code (PIC) in the matter.
