Meghalaya Polls 2023: BJP Promises 7th Pay Commission, Free Education To Girls In Manifesto

New Delhi: BJP President JP Nadda on Wednesday released the party’s election manifesto for Meghalaya in the state capital Shillong. The manifesto promises implementation of the 7th Pay Commission in Meghalaya and the timely disbursal of salaries of the government employees, reported ANI.

Releasing the manifesto, BJP chief Nadda said, “We will implement the 7th Pay Commission in Meghalaya and the salaries of the govt employees will be disbursed in time.”

According to ANI, Nadda said that the amount paid to farmers under PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi will be increased by Rs 2000 and a bond of Rs 50,000 will be given on the birth of a girl child.

“… (we’ll) provide free education to girls from kindergarten to post-graduation,” he added.

He said, “We will also launch a support scheme of financial assistance of Rs 24,000 annually to dependant widows and single mothers to empower them. Two LPG cylinders annually will be given to Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries.”
