As soon as the weather clears up in Himachal, tourists are turning to Chauharghati in Mandi district and playing with snow. Traffic has been restored to normal on Ghatasani-Barot, the main highway of Chauharghati. While the Baghi-Parashar road has not yet been restored for traffic to reach Parashar Valley. In such a situation, domestic and foreign tourists are directly heading towards Jhatingari-Barot.

With the increasing movement of tourists in the Chauhar Valley, the faces of home stay and hotel businessmen have brightened up. Jhatingari, Barot, Ghoghardhar and Parashar valleys of the district’s Chauharghati are very delightful places for tourists. Barot is a small village situated on the banks of the Uhl River.

Where is the water storage dam and reservoir of the 110 MW Shanan Power Project by the Punjab State Electricity Board. Tourists from most of the states of northern India come here to visit.

Best time to visit Barot Valley
The climate of Barot Valley is quite moderate. That is, neither too hot in summer nor too cold in winter. The average temperature remains around 16 degree Celsius. Barot Valley can be visited any time of the year except monsoon, as the area receives heavy rainfall due to the dense forests surrounding it. That’s why traveling in monsoon remains risky.
