Man Tries To Drag Woman With Car When Asked To Pay At Delhi Petrol Pump, Booked

New Delhi: A shocking incident came to the fore at a petrol pump in Delhi’s Jyoti Nagar where a man pushed his car forward and dragged the petrol pump employee when she asked him for payment after filing petrol in the tank. The incident took place at a petrol pump near Main Loni Road in Delhi.

According to the sources close to ABP News, the accused has been identified as Neeraj. He has been arrested and an FIR has been registered in the matter. The victim identified as Shivani, the petrol pump employee, tried to stop the car but the man started the car and tried to drag the girl. The girl got injured due to the incident.

In another incident, a cyclist was dragged by a car for some distance after a collision in Uttar Pradesh’s Kotwali city area, officials said. The incident bears similarity with the Kanjhawala case in Delhi where a girl named Anjali was killed in the early hours of the New Year after her scooter was hit by a car that dragged her for 12 km from Sultanpuri to Kanjhawala. Nidhi, who was riding pillion on Anjali’s scooter at the time of the accident, fell to the side and fled the spot after the accident because she was “scared”.

In the Delhi case, police initially arrested Deepak Khanna (26), Amit Khanna (25), Krishan (27), Mithun (26), and Manoj Mittal in the case. Later, they zeroed in on Ashutosh and Ankush Khanna based on findings through CCTV footage and call detail records as they were reportedly found to be involved in shielding the accused.

Ankush surrendered on Friday evening at Sultanpuri police station while Ashutosh was nabbed from the Budh Vihar area in northwest Delhi.

Fresh CCTV footage emerged where Nidhi and Anjali are seen on a scooter with a man. The person could be seen dropping them off near Anjali’s residence. In another footage, both the women go to the house of the deceased and later proceed towards the hotel for the party. Meanwhile, more details in the Kotwali city area matter are awaited.
