West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to allow Sourav Ganguly to contest for the International Cricket Council (ICC) elections. Mamta also said that the central government should not take decisions politically. He thought of cricket and sports.

Mamta said – Sourav was wrongly removed
While interacting with the media at Kolkata airport on Monday, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that Sourav Ganguly is not a member of any political party. He was the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). They were thrown out unfairly. As compensation for this, the central government should nominate him for the ICC elections.
