Malda: No doctor, Group D staff seeing patients in primary health center!

There is no doctor in the primary health center for a year. A Group-D worker is currently treating patients there. A picture of him treating patients with the help of homeopathic medicines was taken at Kashimpur Primary Health Center in Jagaddala Gram Panchayat in Bamangola block of Malda. The local people have been facing problems due to lack of adequate medical services in this primary health center for almost a year. In this situation, the villagers demanded immediate appointment of doctors.

They complained that the people of several nearby villages were relying on the health center. Otherwise they have to go far for treatment. However, the locals are being forced to take homeopathic medicines as they are not getting adequate medical services in the health centers. A local resident said the health center did not have the necessary medical facilities. There is no doctor. This condition of the hospital for almost a year. The Group D worker is now a Doctor Babu. The health center has three Group D staff. One of them is giving homeopathic medicine. They complained that they had earlier informed the CMOH that he had promised to keep a doctor there but no doctor had been sent to the health center.

On the other hand, Group D activist Ranjit Das said, ‘Doctor Babu is on leave. The doctor told me to see the patient. ‘ But how can a Group D worker act like a doctor? That is why the locals have spoken out against the administration. Although the Group D worker claims, he knows how to give the right medicine.
