Maharashtra’s political crisis will be heard in the Supreme Court on Monday after 21 days. Before the hearing, Deputy Speaker Narhari Jirwal has submitted an affidavit. Jirwal has said that the 16 rebel MLAs were given 48 hours, but they approached the Supreme Court within 24 hours.

On June 26, the Supreme Court had heard the notice for cancellation of membership of 16 MLAs of the Eknath Shinde camp, in which the court had asked the deputy speaker, Shiv Sena, the central government and the Maharashtra Police to file their replies.

Marathi politics dependent on Supreme decision, direct effect in 3 places…

1. Shinde Government – Eknath Shinde’s government has been formed in Maharashtra. The floor test has also been passed in the assembly, but if the 16 rebel MLAs do not get relief from the Supreme Court, then the government will be affected.

For this reason, Shinde has not expanded the cabinet till now nor has taken any major decision. The division of departments has also stopped.

2. Shiv Sena – The future of Shiv Sena will also be decided by the Supreme Court’s decision. Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar has given recognition to the rebel MLAs as a separate faction. If the court cancels it, then the Uddhav faction will get relief. On the other hand, if it is not canceled, the fight for Shiv Sena’s symbol will go ahead.

The Shinde faction is also waiting for the Supreme Court’s decision. If there is relief from the court, then the Shinde faction can approach the Election Commission regarding the symbol.

3. Narhari Jirwal – The no-confidence motion against Deputy Speaker Narhari Jirwal is also to be heard in the Supreme Court. If the court orders voting against him, then his chair will also be in trouble. However, Mahavikas Aghadi may benefit if relief comes.
