Mahaparv Chhath: From Nahay Khay To Usha Arghya–Niyams And Fasting Rules You Should Know

New Delhi: This year’s Chhath Puja begins on October 28th. Chhath Puja is one of our country’s most important festivals. This festival honours the sixth mother and the Sun God. A 36-hour fast is observed during this time.

On the Chaturthi Tithi of Kartik month, the first day is offered Arghya, the second-day Kharna, the third day the setting sun, and the fourth day the rising sun.

During Chhath Puja, both men and women observe a complete 36-hour waterless fast for the child’s health, success, and longevity. Because this fast is extremely difficult, some important considerations should be made during Chhath Puja, the festival of faith.
