On the inclusion of Veer Savarkar in school syllabus, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that: “What is the problem in this, why shouldn’t Veer Savarkar be taught?” Speaking further on the issue, he said that Veer Savrkar was an excellent patriot who was punished with two life terms, lived in Kala Pani and sacrificed everything for the country. “Today we go to Cellular Jail and see how Savarkar lived in the cell…his other brothers were also there but it was not known that he was there who sacrificed everything for the country, his biography will be studied,” he further said.
