Local train will run at a speed of 100 km in the Sealda branch! Trial run done

Good news for passengers! The speed of local trains is going to increase. The authorities have taken the initiative to increase the speed of all localities in Sealda branch. Earlier the local maximum speed was 80 to 90 km per hour. Now it is being increased to 100 km per hour. As a result, passengers will naturally reach their destination in less time. The authorities feel that if the speed of the train is increased, the passengers will ultimately benefit.

Starting from Sealdah Main to Southern branch i.e. Namkhana, Lakshikantpur, Canning etc. the speed of trains will be increased.. Sealda main branch includes localities like Ranaghat, Krishnanagar, Shantipur, Bangaon etc. All these locales will run at a speed of 100 km per hour from now on. Earlier all these locales had a speed of 80-90 kmph. Earlier, the maximum speed of the train from Sealda to Naihati was 90 kmph. The maximum speed of the train from Naihati to Ranaghat was 95 kmph. The speed of Bangaon local was 90 km per hour. That is, the speed will increase by 10 to 20 kilometers per hour.

According to railway sources, a trial run has already been done to run local trains at this speed. Several errors were found. Once they are resolved, Sealda will run local at a speed of 100 km on all lines. However, this requires several steps. First all the defects that are present must be repaired. After getting permission from the Railway Safety Commission, local trains can be run at a speed of 100 kmph only. If everything goes well, there will be no difficulty in getting clearance from the Safety Commission, said a railway official.
