LIVE Shinde’s first floor test today: Shiv Sena asks all office-bearers for affidavit of loyalty, gives deadline of 2 days

The first joint meeting of MLAs of BJP and Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) took place late Saturday night at Taj Hotel in Mumbai. In this, the strategy was discussed before the special session of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

The first floor test of the newly formed Shinde government in Maharashtra will be held today i.e. on July 3. The election of the Speaker of the Assembly is also to be held today. Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena has sought loyalty affidavits from all party office-bearers after the revolt of the Shinde faction that toppled the Mahavikas Aghadi government. A deadline of 2 days has been given for this.

All the office bearers starting from the lowest level sub-branch chiefs in the party order have to submit this oath at the party headquarters. It is believed that if any legal battle erupts between Uddhav and Shinde camp over the claim of Shiv Sena, then this affidavit will be used.

In the draft affidavit, Shiv Sainiks have been asked to take an oath of allegiance to the party’s constitution, Balasaheb Thackeray and party president Uddhav Thackeray.

Rebel MLA returned to Mumbai after 11 days
The rebel Shiv Sena MLAs returned to Mumbai on Saturday night along with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. They have returned after 11 days. All the rebel MLAs along with the Chief Minister reached Hotel Taj Presidency in Mumbai. Here BJP leaders and rebel MLAs of Shiv Sena met till late night and prepared the strategy ahead. State Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis reached to meet the MLAs.

CM Eknath Shinde reached the hotel from Mumbai airport in a bus with all the rebel MLAs.

Shiv Sena issued whip for the post of speaker

Shiv Sena Whip Chief Sunil Prabhu has asked Shiv Sena MLAs to be present in the Assembly on July 3 and 4.

Elections will be held for the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly in Maharashtra on Sunday. Shiv Sena’s Rajan Salvi has filed nomination for the Speaker’s post. At the same time, Shiv Sena has issued a whip for the election of the Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

Shiv Sena Chief Whip Sunil Prabhu has asked Shiv Sena MLAs to be present in the assembly on July 3 and 4. Congress and NCP have also asked their MLAs to be present in the assembly tomorrow.
