Liquor can now be served at any private event, conference hall or sports stadium in Tamil Nadu. For this, the state government has started the process of taking a special license. To get the license one has to apply 7 days in advance.

The Government of Tamil Nadu has issued a notice regarding the special type of liquor license. According to its notification, liquor can be served in convention centers, marriage halls, sports stadiums and home functions. Just for this the host should have a special license.

How long will the license be valid
This special license for liquor will be valid only on the basis of the time limit specified in the application. It will be valid for one or few days only.

How much is the license fee
There will also be a difference in the license fee according to different places. The highest fees will be charged for the party held in the corporation. At the same time, a little less in the municipality, while in other private places, the lowest fees will have to be paid for the event.

  • 11,000 per day will have to be paid for any party organized in the corporation like – marriage, convention center, banquet hall.
  • And partying in the municipality will cost Rs 7,500.
  • For other places, a license fee of Rs 5,000 has been fixed.
