Killer monkey ‘arrested’ in Maharashtra: Forest department caught two monkeys who killed 80 puppies, terror continued for three months

Two monkeys who killed 80 dog puppies in Beed, Maharashtra have been caught. Forest officer Sachin gave information about this. Earlier, local officials had said that the monkeys had killed around 80 puppies in three months by throwing them from a height. This case started when some time ago dogs killed a monkey’s child. After this, two monkeys killed 80 puppies of dogs to take revenge.

Beed Forest Department said that 2 monkeys involved in the killing of many puppies have been caught by the team of Nagpur Forest Department today. Both the monkeys were released in the forest adjoining Nagpur. In Majalgaon of Beed district, monkeys had created panic for three months. The people of the village had informed the Forest Department about this.

No puppies left in the village
The terror of monkeys had spread from Majalgaon to other nearby villages as well. The people of Lavool village, 10 km from Majalgaon, told that no puppy can be seen in the village anymore. The Forest Department had tried to control the monkeys earlier too, but then they were not successful.

A villager told- Monkeys used to come to the village and look for the puppies. If they found any puppy, they would take it up on a tree or a building and throw it down. When some people of the village tried to save the puppies, the monkeys attacked them too. Due to this many common people were also injured. School going children were also in awe because of the monkeys.
