Mallikarjun Kharge officially became the Congress President on Wednesday. After 24 years, someone outside the Gandhi family has got the command of Congress. Kharge announced to give 50% posts in the party to people below 50 years of age. Kharge announced a 47-member steering committee in place of the Congress Working Committee (CWC). The CWC is the supreme executive body of the Congress Party. After Kharge’s announcement, now only the new steering committee will seal the big decisions related to the party organization.
