According to preliminary information, Nijjar was shot by two unidentified gunmen near the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. Nijjar was also the head of this gurudwara.

Last night the terrorists were in their car in the parking lot outside the Nijjar Gurdwara. Meanwhile, two youths came on a motorcycle and started firing. Nijjar did not get time to get out of the car and died on the spot. According to sources, the Canadian Police has arrested two Punjabi and one Chinese youth in this case. Although it has not been formally confirmed.

He was also close to Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, the head of the terrorist organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). NIA had recently issued a list of 40 terrorists, Nijjar’s name was there in that too. He also had a role in getting a referendum done in favor of Khalistan in Brampton city. The NIA has filed a charge sheet against him for hatching a terrorist conspiracy. He was also declared a fugitive.

Few days ago NIA raided in Punjab-Haryana
A few days ago, the NIA raided 10 places in Punjab-Haryana on the helpers of Nijjar’s organization Khalistan Tiger Force. The raid was carried out on suspicion of involvement in a conspiracy to smuggle arms, ammunition and explosives from across the border, apart from raising funds for the KTF.

NIA had received input that KTF is preparing for major incidents in Punjab and Haryana. Which includes from blasts to target killing. On decoding their plan, NIA came to know that many local people are funding them. Many remain the source of funding. At the same time, many people are helping in smuggling of arms and explosives across the border, especially from Pakistan.
