This year, the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Class 10 exams in Kerala are set to commence today, March 4, 2024. The SSLC (Hearing Impaired) exam will be held between March 4 and 22 and the main SSLC exams will be conducted from March 4 to March 25. The exams will commence at 9.30 am and end at 11.15 am or 12:15 am (depending on the subject).

As per the exam day guidelines, students are advised to reach the exam centres 60 minutes before the beginning of the exam. Students must enter the hall before 9.20 am and those who arrive before 10.01 am will be allowed to write the exam. Students will get 15 minutes to read the questions paper before the exam starts and can start writing exams from 9.45 am.

Students are not allowed to carry any electronic devices like mobile phones, calculators, etc. inside the exam hall. Any unfair means during the exam will result in the student getting banned from appearing in the exams.

Covering Kerala, Lakshadweep, and the Gulf regions, a total of 4,27,105 students are gearing up to sit for these examinations. The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exams in Kerala are set to be conducted across 2,971 examination centres, reported Onmanorama. Among these, 2,955 centres are situated in Kerala, while 7 centres are located in the Gulf region, and 9 centres are in Lakshadweep.

From March 1 to 26, the first and second-year higher secondary exams (Plus One and Plus Two) will be held. A considerable number of students, totalling 4,14,159 for Plus One and 4,41,213 for Plus Two, will be participating in these exams. There will be 2,017 examination centers designated for the higher secondary exams. The non-vocational practical exams were concluded on February 16, while the first and second-year NSQF vocational practical exams finished on Thursday, February 29.

The results for SSLC, higher secondary, and vocational higher secondary exams will be published in the second week of May. In the last 8 years, the Kerala board has achieved a pass percentage of over 95 per cent. The board recorded a pass percentage of 99.47 per cent in 2021, and 99.26 per cent in 2022. The board recorded 99.70 per cent pass percentage in 2023.
