Karnataka: Auto driver found hanging after threatening woman | Mangaluru News – Times of India

UDUPI: An autorickshaw driver was found dead, after he allegedly threatened a woman on Wednesday. The deceased is Raghavendra,36. According to the Kundapur Rural police, the victim had arrived home at 1pm for lunch.
He left home carrying a nylon rope, without having lunch. He was later found hanging to a tree in the neighbourhood. The incident may have taken place between 1pm-2pm. An unnatural death report was registered.
Meanwhile, earlier during the day, a 24-year-old woman working for a jewellery store in Brahmavar, claimed that she was threatened by Raghavendra. On Wednesday afternoon, when the woman was near the washroom, the accused allegedly came with a knife and attacked the woman. When she screamed, the owner of the building rushed to the spot, and the accused fled. A case was registered at the City police station in this regared.
It is learnt that the woman was known to Raghavendra, and that he was allegedly pressuring her to marry him.
