Shweta Bachchan is celebrating her 50th birthday today. A doting daughter of megastar Amitabh Bachchan and wife Jaya Bachchan, scores of fans have flooded social media with warm birthday greetings. From Abhishek Bachchan to Navya Naveli, everyone extended their warm birthday wishes. And now, Karan Johar wished Shweta with an interesting anecdote and a wholesome note.

On Sunday, Karan Johar took to his Instagram handle and shared a bunch of throwback pictures with Shweta Bachchan, that aptly summarises the amicable bond between the two. Not only that, he also penned a note for the birthday girl. It read, “My best childhood memories have been with @shwetabachchan and @bachchan …. AB Junior tied us to a tree in Madh Island ( as a prank) and that began a lifelong journey of family , love and friendship…. My mother has always said that Shweta is the daughter she never had and she will always be the sister I so needed …. I love you Shweta ….”

He continued, “Thank you for springing into action as a Bua to my bachas as they were brought into this world … With all your quirks and hysterias I love you …. You are entertaining and loving in equal measure … today on your milestone birthday I wish you a decade of joy and happiness …. Shweta Bachchan marked her debut as an author in 2018 with the book titled Paradise Towers. She has two children, Navya Nanda Naveli, who is an entrepreneur, and her son Agastya Nanda, who recently made his big Bollywood debut with The Archies, helmed by Zoya Akhtar.
