Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 Has a Connection With Lord Shiva And Parshuram, Says Producer – News18

The prequel of Kantara will be shot mostly in Sri Lanka.

In an interview, the producer of the film, Vijay Kiragandur has talked about the poster and the recent developments regarding the prequel.

Kannada film industry is known for their remarkable works. They have produced some of the most engaging content that has not only impressed the audience on a regional level, but has become a huge hit on a pan-India level too. The performances of artists, directors, writers, musicians and technicians from the industry have won a lot of appreciation from the entire country. One such film that became a big hit was Kantara. The film was directed by Rishab Shetty, who himself acted as the male lead. Even though the film was made on a small budget, it became a huge hit and received a tremendous response for its unique storyline. The makers recently launched the first look teaser for the prequel to Kantara, which is titled as Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1.

There has been a lot of hype for the second part of Kantara. The film is actually a prequel to the first instalment and it will show in-depth information about the local culture. Recently, the poster for the prequel was launched, where Rishabh Shetty can be seen in a fierce avatar holding an axe and a trident. In an interview, the producer of the film, Vijay Kiragandur, has talked about the poster and the recent developments regarding the prequel. He said, “There is a story in the coastal areas of Karnataka that Parshuram has created, and the role of Shiva is also very important in this story. The poster has been made in the symbolic form of Shiva and Parshuram.”

Vijay also added that it took 10 days to prepare the film’s first-look poster. He said that there will be shooting for 10–15 days every month, and the shoot will be completed in 6–8 months. After that, the post-production will take 3–4 months. He added that most of the shoot will take place in the dense forest of Sri Lanka.

He also explained that the prequel will be made on a grander level, as compared to its first part. This part will have more palaces and structures to refer to ancient times. As a result, the budget of the film has also increased. Reportedly, the budget of Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 has doubled from its first part.
