New Delhi: Amid the buzz of Kamal Nath’s possible switch to BJP, Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Jitu Patwari on Sunday asserted that Kamal Nath had assured him of his unwavering commitment to the grand old party. Patwari emphasised Nath’s long-standing allegiance to the party and his unshakable bond with the Gandhi family, categorically stating that Nath had no intentions of abandoning the party he had served for decades.
Patwari relayed his conversation with Kamal Nath, wherein Nath dismissed media reports as part of a conspiracy and reaffirmed his allegiance to the Congress. He also emphasised Nath’s enduring ties with the Gandhi family and his unwavering commitment to the Congress ideology, portraying Nath’s stance as resolute, as per news agency PTI.
“The BJP misuses the media and questions the integrity of a person and this has come to light”, Jitu Patwari remarked. “His relationship with the Gandhi family is unshakable. He has lived with the ideology of Congress and will remain with it till the end. This is what he told me,” PTI quoted Patwari as saying.
Kamal Nath Will Speak On Right Time: Jitu Patwari
Over asking why Nath was not himself putting forth a clarification, Jitu Patwari claimed that the former Madhya Pradesh chief minister would address the speculation right time. “What I said was on his behalf,” he remarked, as per PTI.
Earlier, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, also expressed confidence in his “old friend,” affirming his belief that Nath would remain loyal to the party where he initiated his political journey.
However, Kamal Nath’s departure for Delhi on Saturday afternoon sparked speculation. Rumors suggest that both he and his son, Nakul Nath, may be considering joining the BJP. Adding to the intrigue, Nakul Nath, a Lok Sabha MP, has removed all references to the Congress party from his social media page.
