The hawkers on the sidewalk have been asked to move a little as the piling work is going on. There are many old houses here. So be told to work very carefully. A few days ago, during the New Year, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee came to pay homage at the Kalighat temple and raised the issue of making Sky Walk. However, the state government had already decided to build a Sky Walk at Kalighat. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has long wanted a Sky Walk in Kalighat like the Dakshineswar Temple. The mayor also raised the issue of the Chief Minister when he came to see the work of Siriti crematorium. He said, ‘The Chief Minister had said a long time ago for the expansion of this crematorium. Two more electric furnaces, a reservoir and a wood furnace will be built in the crematorium.
