Jurassic World Dominion box office collection Day 3: Dinosaurs rule the theatres worldwide

Jurassic World Dominion is doing well at the box office globally. The Chris Pratt-starrer is set after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Director Colin Trevorrow’s film Jurassic World Dominion hit the theatres globally on June 10. It is the third instalment of the Jurassic World series and sixth movie of the overall Jurassic Park franchise. The film, which is set three years after the original, saw Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum reprising their roles from the first Jurassic Park movie. Dominion is looming large at the domestic box office collections and it has fetched huge numbers from all across the globe.

JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION BOX OFFICE COLLECTION

Jurassic World Dominion earned good reviews from fans and critics alike. It is doing well at the box office too. Talking about the US and Canada market, the film has even managed to surpass its prequel, Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom. As reported by Deadline, Jurassic World Dominion opened to a terrific number of $59.55 million in US and Canada. The numbers also include $18 million from previews. It surpassed Fallen Kingdom which had opened to $58.5 million on day 1. Speaking about the international territories, the film has made $135 million so far. The grand worldwide total now stands at $194.55 million.

A report in Box Office India previously stated, “The film should show good growth over the weekend as the family audiences come out. A opening day number is very similar to the the 2015 film of the franchise which is the biggest one in India till date but that film sustained superbly well.”

Starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, Dominion is said to bring the dinosaurs to the mainland and that will only be the beginning of a new era of Jurassic Park movies. Add to that, Dominion will also see the return of Sam Neill as Dr. Alan Grant and Laura Dern as Dr. Ellie Sattler, along with Jeff Goldblum’s Dr. Ian Malcom.

Jurassic World Dominion is directed by Colin Trevorrow, who steered 2015’s Jurassic World to a record-shattering 1.7 billion dollars at global box office. The screenplay is by Emily Carmichael and Colin Trevorrow from a story by Derek Connolly (Jurassic World) and Trevorrow, based on characters created by Michael Crichton. Jurassic World Dominion hit the theatres on June 10 in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
