The four-day 72nd Junior National Basketball Competition North Zone Phase-I was inaugurated in Kangra, Himachal at the Municipal Council Kangra Ground. He said that sports grounds would be expanded for such competitions in villages also. So that players from rural areas can also come forward and bring laurels to the country and the state. Munish Sharma said that it is a matter of great fortune that such competitions are being held in Kangra. In which the Chief Minister of the state Jai Ram Thakur also plays an important role.

Due to which the interest of the youth of the state has increased in sports. He said that our association is organizing every competition in a better way. A total of 12 teams are participating in the championship competition which started from today. It will end on 16 October. At the same time, the indoor stadium in Kangra will be ready soon. Where players will get a chance to showcase their talent better.

At the same time, in the results of the match played today, Delhi defeated Haryana by 60-46, Chandigarh defeated Jammu and Kashmir by 91-46 and in girls’ category Haryana defeated Jammu and Kashmir 52-25, Punjab defeated Himachal by 66- On 28, Chandigarh beat Delhi 50-20.
