New Delhi: Raj Mehta’s ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’ premiered in theatres on June 24th, 2022 to respectable results at the box office as it earned Rs. 9.28 cr nett on its first day of release. At the box office, the picture did better than most of the other multiplex releases this year. As a result of the film’s strong start, word-of-mouth began to spread quickly.
The film JugJugg Jeeyo, starring Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan, was unable to beat the opening day collections of Akshay Kumar’s historical drama ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, which made Rs. 10.70 crore on the first day of its release.
Despite a slow start at the box office, Jugjugg Jeeyo saw an increase on Day 2. According to boxofficeindia.com, Jugjugg Jeeyo saw a 40% increase on Day 2 to take in between Rs 12-12.25 crore in net revenue.
To ensure a good weekend collection, Sunday should remain solid. Also, in order for the film to have any hope of success in its second weekend, its Monday figures are highly important.
Talking about the film, it is just the right mix of humour, romance, and drama. The plot of JugJugg Jeeyo centres on a dissatisfied couple who are considering divorce and how things turn out throughout the movie.
Neetu Kapoor, who plays Anil Kapoor’s partner, makes a striking comeback. In addition to Maniesh Paul, Prajakta Koli, a social media influencer-turned-actor, made her Bollywood debut in this film. There is a cameo appearance in the film by reality TV personality Varun Sood.
Dharma Productions and Viacom 18 Studios have co-produced ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’.
